We were introduced to this project as a subcontract, and did not engage until after much of the design work had been completed and approved. We were hired specifically for our expertise in the Kentico platform, and we were responsible for creating all site templates, custom web parts, data imports, custom module integrations, queries and data layer, and the overall Kentico implementation.
Among the functional components that we delivered are real-time event calendars, asynchronous service layers, XML weather feeds, Twitter integration and a host of other enhancements that leverage the power of Kentico CMS.
Paradigm engineers configured the development sandbox server, the staging environment as well as the production web farm deployment. Using the latest in .Net technology, we implemented a number of custom components including:
- Lobbyist Registry - A module that facilitates the registration and approval of city lobbyists and the firms & principals that they represent. The system includes an approval mechanism and a back office portal for city administration, as well as a number of public facing lists and form controls, to include self registration.
- Procurement & Solicitations - A fully functional solicitation and bidding portal, complete with vendor registration, Q&A, attachments, addenda and email notification systems. Public users can view active and pending solicitations, registered vendors, they can even register to bid for a solicitation on the fly.
Hosted on AWS, the production system is optimized for performance and security, and we are currently on contract to provide post-launch support and enhancements through June 2016. We are quite proud of this delivery, and we are honored to have it featured in our portfolio.
